These heavy duty Gardner Covert Tungsten Hinge Beads are designed for use with size 12 QC or XT swivels, where they can improve numerous combinations and balance perfectly.The internal cut ensures that the Chod Beads sit neatly over the top half of the swivel, so that everything falls away nicely and remains tight, without obstructing the essential rotational movement required for optimum rig efficiency. These new Gardner Hinge beads are ideal for use with all variants of hinged rigs, quick-change chod rigs or even as a tweaked Ronnie Rig.There are 2 variants available, the standard which is perfect for use with smaller hookbaits, and the Heavy which is perfect for larger hookbaits, or hookbaits with high buoyancy. Both versions work best with hooks between hook size 8 and 4.* Remember that it is vital that chods and hinge rigs, with pop-up hookbaits, have sufficient buoyancy to keep the hook section upright throughout the time they are in the water, as poor pop-ups can lead to hook pulls on this type of rig .You can of course also use these on a Ronnie or Ronnie rig with a long shaft. By using it on a QC-style swivel, the hook gets just that little extra free movement, a little more like a 360 rig.The beads are easy to use. Simply slide on the hook part and then loop the hook part onto your swivel and slide the bead downwards, securing the bottom line and keeping the hook bait in balance. To refine the sinking speed of your presentation, you can crop the bead downwards or add a little Tungsten Putty until it sinks 'just right'.This system also makes changing hooks quick and easy.Made from a weighted tungsten polymer compound.
