Reuben Heaton has been producing tackle since 1857 making it one of the oldest companies in the country still producing tackle today. Reuben George Heaton founded the business when he began producing fishing reels, and the business quickly expanded into other tackle products. Its centrepin reels were the most recognised of their kind.
The brand is also known for its fishing scale, great for carp and specialist anglers. The Reuben Heaton Standard Angling Scale sports imperial only measurement that modern anglers are still using when referring to the weight of a catch.
With improved specification, this standard set of scales are designed to meet all the basic requirements of the modern carp angler, featuring a single revolution format with increased weight range specification over other standard scale models on the market. This makes the scales ideal for anglers aiming for monster fish to land in their net.
Made with a stainless steel hook and hanging points, anglers can rest assure when weighing a fish via tripods or freehand. The scales itself are made from high impact polycarbonate on the body and lens making these scales relatively indestructible when at the bankside.
The scale diameter size is 170mm and the measurement from the top hook to the hanging point is 285mm. The scales are also cosmetically pleasing using a negative look which helps with visibility in poorer light conditions.
The accuracy of over one part in 250, these are a good performance scale for all disciplines.
