Middy's flagship Reactacore XZ Ultra-Control 14ft 3 piece waggler rod is built using Quad four-layer carbon technology, making it incredibly strong and resilient for the biggest of carp fights and them forceful casts out to the lake. The four individual layers of high modulus carbon are layered together at different unique angles to form one compounded sheet. This provides excellent strength and rigidity, while also creating a crisp fast-taper and fast-response action that picks up line quickly at distance.The rods material of carbon goes under a VC-X extreme pressure vacuum curing. This is to force out any tiny air imperfections meaning the rod is solid, aiding the strength of the rod and creating a real consistency in the action. This will especially be noticed with casting. The Reactacore XZ Ultra-Control waggler rod also features Maximus weave wrap joints prolong the life of the rod joints and again increases the strength even further. This weaved joints enables a little less overlap, which in turn makes the rod super lightweight. The XZ Ultra Waggler is exceptionally slim and light as a feather from blank to handle. The handle is made from cork which is not only super light but is very insulating for when using during the colder months.As a world-class 3pc waggler rod, the XZ Ultra has an 8lb mainline rating, 5lb hook length rating and a casting weight guide between 2g and 10g. Middy has also supplied the rod with a high quality fully-padded rod case from the Middy MX-Series luggage range.
