Shimano has been producing top quality fishing reels and tackle since the 1970s and aims to create the authentic fishing experience with every product.
The Shimano TX 2 carp rod is perfect for those specialist anglers that want a powerful but light rod. The TX 2 range of rods from Shimano all benefit from the same manufacturing processes, using XT60 carbon. This carbon method results in a very slim and powerful blanks which only enhances the casting performance of the carp rod.
Despite the carbon blanks being very powerful, the TX 2 does not compromise on playing action in the tip- and middle section, required for maintaining a secure hook-hold.
The TX 2 series have also been developed with a plastic line clip to keep you more in control of the line when it matters most. This particular Shimano TX 2 features pink tipping on the black cosmetic wrapping to stand out from others in the series which all have its own colour of tipping. This will also immediately catch the eye of every angler as aesthetically; this rod is incredible.
The handle of the rod is cork to ensure a light, long-lasting rod. Cork also has the property of heat retention, keeping your hands nice and toasting when carp fishing in the cooler months.
The Shimano cork handle carp rods come in a variety of sizes and test curves. For tight-knit swims a 10ft length with 3lb test curve is ideal, for those that love to cast into the distance there is a 12ft option that comes in test curves of 2.75lbs, 3lbs and 3.25lbs. There is also an intensity model that comes in 13ft length and a test curve of 3lbs plus.
