Daiwa Crosscast Surf 35 SCW QD Type-R
What a reel!Â
This is the ideal choice for any shore angler wanting a long-distance casting reel with a quick drag great for bigger fish such as Smoothounds and Rays.
The reel comes with an additional shallow spool ideal for lighter lines, and thinner braids. The deep spool is capable of holding a 300M spool of 60lb whiplash.
It is ideal for clean to mixed ground fishing and works well when paired with a 14′ continental style rod or a traditional 13′ surf rod.
Packed with Daiwa features and the Long cast spool has a 35mm stroke which coupled with the Slow Cross Wrap feature gives superb line lay which allows long smooth casts.
The 15kg QD quick drag front drag has the power to play large fish, the QD (Quick Drag) function allows you to loosen the drag when fishing for running fish and then quickly get it back to the correct setting to play the fish.
