Gardner Covert Tungsten Chod Beads,
These fast sinking Covert Tungsten Chod Beads have been designed for use as a weighted helicopter/chod rig stop beadsetting the movement of the hooklink on the main line or leader. Covert Tungsten Chod Beads are supplied on wire sprigsfor ease of threading them onto your line or leader. These beads have a soft rubbery texture offer just the right amount of grip to hold in position on the line or leaderso theres no need to use a section of 0.5mm silicone to act as a stop.
The Chod Bead can simply be slid to the position you wantallowing you to compensate for the nature of the lake bed or any weed present. The tapered profile of the bore ensures that the bead will pass cleanly over any leader knotsensuring that heli-rigs constructed with this bead allows the hooklink to pull offallowing the hooklink to separate from the terminal tackle in the event of a cut-off. They potentially improve consistent presentation in several ways.
For instanceby using these as stop beads above of a Chod Rig you can easily balance the end tackle so the rig settles gently over the spot and create improved hooking potential by using a couple set a short distance apart (instead of the traditional running chod). The High Bore version can also be threaded onto the Chod hook section itselfthen pushed down over the swivel (or Kwik Lok) as a replacement for tungsten putty. A particularly useful feature if the water you are fishing contains Crays. Covert Tungsten Chod Beads are manufactured with the densest tungsten polymer compound available.
Available in 2 different bores:
Low Bore these have a 0.20mm internal bore that has been designed for use on monofilament.
High Bore these have a 0.50mm internal bore for use with skinned hooklinksleadcore leaders and leadfree.
