Preston Innovations are on of the biggest names in the match fishing discipline, turn up to any match around the country and chances are multiple angler will be utilising Preston tackle. With the knowledge and experience of anglers such as Des Shipp championing the brand, its not hard to see why the company have become trusted manufacturers of top-end match tackle and a source of expertise on the match discipline. After that success of Preston's Supera and original Monster range, the brand has taken what they learnt from those ranges and incorporated it into its latest range, the Preston Innovations Monster X range. The Monster X range is comprised of six rods; three carp feeders, a method feeder rod, a rod specifically designed with pellet waggler fishing in mind and a new development, the Wandzee, a seven foot rod optimised for canal or snake style lakes, where short casts to the far bank can be cumbersome with a longer rod.The one and only Pellet Waggler rod in the range is a 11ft/3.35m model, like all the rods in the Monster X range, it comes in two sections. With such a thin blank the weight of the 11ft Monster X Waggler is just 197g, an incredibly light rod but packed with features nonetheless; the top half of the 53cm handle is constructed from high-grade cork with the bottom section being taken from the Supera rod range it is ergonomically designed to optimise comfort and grip and finished in top quality EVA, at the base of the handle is a laser etched Preston Innovations logo on the butt of the rod. At the base of the blank is a DPS reel seat which will comfortably house your reel and minimise lateral movement, the blank is lined with efficiently spaced SEA guides and the rod is complete with a hook keeper at the top of the handle and a line rating of between 3 and 6 pounds.
