The size of your budget is unlikely to lead to compromises on component quality so when Greys products are cheap they are hearteningly cheap and also good qualitybut when the price tag starts looking more serious that's when you can bank on high levels of performance.
This Xlerate Carp Rod takes itself seriously so perhaps you shouldtoo. The robust blank is crafted from premium-grade 1k carbon fibrethe supplest raw CF availablewhich is then stiffened with resins. We Don't know the exact processand Greys probably wouldn't tell usbut they incorporate 3M's Powerlux 1000 nano-scale particles to fill the natural gaps in the fabric of the blank. What you get is a carp rod with a wonderful balance between stiffness for accurate big casts and a fluent bend for playing and scrappingand its sensitivity will help you sus out the features of a new swim.
