Maver Definition 14.5m Pole Package Since the rise in popularity of pole fishing many commercial fisheries have seen a big increase in the size of their largest carp. These very big fish and the snaggy areas they like to inhabit have fed into the development of pole design with Ëœpower carp poles' emerging as a result. These come with strong section walls that resist deformation and they have incredible bending curves to allow a pole angler to target double-figure carp and bring them out from the roots and reeds in which they like to hide. Maver is the largest producer of competition poles in Europe and they were responsible for the Super Lithium 801 a near-mythical pole with a price tag of around ?8000 but with capabilities to match. It's still the most expensive fishing pole to come to market. Since then Maver have not stopped in their quest for continuous pole improvement. The Maver Definition 14.5m Pole is one of the latest chapters in the Mavic story. Although it is intended for more budget-conscious pole anglers than the Super Lithium this is a serious match-ready package which includes the Definition and a collection of accessories to maximise your chances in a competitive situation. The Maver Definition fishing pole has many of Maver's own well-known innovations including a Suncore anti-friction finish that also improves strength and durability and Teflon joints to prevent joint weld and annoying sticking when putting it together or dismantling it. Hi-tech carbon fibre and Maver's own developments in epoxy resin form the substance of the sections which are manufactured in Italy by Redglass. Two Powerlite power kits are included with the base pole sections and they feature reinforced banding around a Teflon slot for use with side-pull elastic systems. They also have high-quality fitted Teflon bushes. The main effect of using these power kits is to make the pole feel stiffer and lighter while at the same time making it much stronger. Who knows how big carp get such powerful traction in the water? Who cares when you have a pole like this to bring them to task! The package also includes a top 3 section match kit a mini-extension a reduced no.4 section a bait cupping kit a holdall and protective tubes and a product information DVD.
