The?Sonik VADERX?carp reels have been designed to meet the requirements of the modern carp angler who is looking for top quality performance, looks and value for money. The spool design gives smooth long casts and the ultra-fast retrieve rate makes it ideal for fishing or spodding.
With a 4.1:1 retrieve ratio, each crank of the handle recovers up to 1.1M of line making it ideal for fishing or spodding alike.

The reel is a good piece of kit for the price. Line lay is fine (after adding two more washers supplied), casts well and looks good. The quick adjust drag works well when you need to slacken off but getting set back to a fish playing setting is fiddly with 1 click making a big difference. The major problem is the foot of the reel is wider than any fixed spool reel I've ever had. I have some 3.25 test Fox deadbait rods and the foot is too wide to go into the reel seat so make sure you make sure they'll fit your rod before buying.
